LKF Automotive was founded in 2015 as a garage with straightforward values: skilled technicians, honest communication, and a genuine respect for every customer who walks through the door.

We’ve grown a lot since those early days. What began as a single unit has expanded into a three-unit workshop – larger premises, more capability, the same approach. And that growth hasn’t come from big advertising budgets – it’s come from customers returning, and from them recommending us to people they care about.

Our Team

David, our lead technician, has 36 years of hands-on experience and holds a Level 3 City & Guilds qualification. John holds a Level 3 NVQ, and we currently have three apprentices working through their qualifications at Levels 1 and 2. It’s a team we’re genuinely proud of – experienced enough to handle complex work, and committed enough to bring the next generation of technicians through properly.

We run one dedicated MOT bay with three qualified testers, so we can usually turn appointments around quickly without compromising thoroughness.

What We Work On

Our specialisms are German vehicles – Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, SEAT, Skoda, Porsche – as well as Jaguar Land Rover. We’ve invested heavily in manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment and secure gateway access, which means we can carry out the same diagnostic work, software updates, and online service record updates as a franchised dealer.

That matters for warranty customers in particular. Your manufacturer warranty remains valid when you service with us, because we follow the manufacturer’s schedule, use original equipment parts, and update your OSRs correctly – for at least 50% less than a main dealer would charge.

Beyond our specialisms, we work on all makes and models. We’re also known for taking on jobs that other garages and national chains have declined. If the work is complex or time-consuming, we don’t walk away from it.

How We Work

Transparency is non-negotiable for us. Before any work is carried out, you’ll know exactly what’s needed and what it’s going to cost. No surprises, no pressure.

We treat every customer the same – whether you’re bringing in a ten-year-old hatchback or a high-value prestige vehicle, you’ll get the same level of care and attention.

Every part we fit comes with a 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty on labour as standard, backed by a national warranty through our Servicesure membership. Brake pads fitted here come with a pads-for-life guarantee, also through Servicesure.

Our Accreditations

We’re AA certified, an approved Bosch Car Service centre, and a Servicesure Autocentre. We also offer flexible payment options through Payment Assist and PayItMonthly (via Bosch), so cost doesn’t have to be a barrier to getting the work done properly.

Visiting Us

We’re based in Bridgend and cover all postcodes from CF31 through to CF37. Our reception area has free Wi-Fi, a coffee machine, and comfortable seating. There’s parking on site, and a café just across the road if you’d prefer to wait nearby.

If you need to get somewhere while your vehicle is with us, we can offer a courtesy vehicle, or we can arrange a lift into Bridgend town centre. Just ask when you book.
